* WHAT. Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of northern Virginia, including the following counties, Fairfax and Prince William. * WHEN. Until 230 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 818 PM EDT, Emergency management reported numerous roads closed due to thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. mainly rural areas of Fairfax and Prince William Counties - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information

Until 145 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 738 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Annandale. Springfield. Mantua. West Springfield. North Springfield. Ravensworth. - This includes the following Flood Prone Roads.
