SMWLWX The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD. Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD. * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 638 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 9 nm west of Annapolis, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. * Locations impacted include. Greenbury Point, Love Point, Pinehurst, Naval Academy, Magothy River, Sandy Point State Park, Baltimore Light, Gibson Island, Severn River, Matapeake, Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and Annapolis.

* WHAT. Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE. Shoreline in Anne Arundel County. * WHEN. Until 9 AM EDT Sunday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS. At 3.2 feet, water begins to approach businesses on Dock Street in Annapolis. The City Dock parking lot is flooded. Compromise Street is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 4:53 AM.
