At 758 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Urbana to near Hagerstown, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, and very heavy rain. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Lightning can cause serious injury or death. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible. Locations impacted include. Dayton, Springfield, Kettering, Beavercreek, Huber Heights, Richmond, Fairborn, Xenia, Trotwood, Vandalia, Englewood, Tipp City, Eaton, Moraine, New Carlisle, West Milton, Oakwood, Yellow Springs, Centerville, and Cambridge City. This includes the following Interstates. I-70 in Indiana between mile markers 134 and 156. I-70 in Ohio between mile markers 0 and 63. I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 49 and 68.

The combination of heat and humidity will lead heat index values to reach the mid to upper 90s this afternoon. Heat index of 100 degrees will be possible over some spots across the lowlands this afternoon. If going outside, drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and check in with relatives and neighbors. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
